My local equipment dealer has acquired the Kioti line and seems to be selling quite a few. Following this formum for some time now, It appears the Kiotis are "service challenged" due to inferior fit & finish. After checking them out - did not start or drive one yet - they appear to be better put together and as well refined as my IH 244. Do any of you out there have experience with the new Kiotis and how they compare? Are they a true tractor company or a sideline seller like has been mentioned about Cub Cadet?

I recently uncovered info I hadn't read before by looking under Kioti in the Brand Name Menu. You've already answered my questions. Thanks! By the way I just returned from Carver's site. It looks like one could get a Kubota for only slightly, if any, more than the Kioti. I like the Grand L 3010 - given prox $1000 diff I will probably go with Kubota's proven track record vs Kiotis. ....

I priced both and the Ku was more than 3K more than the best price I found on the Ki. I think they look almost the same (both well made). The grand L is a bit different. I would not consider the KI a grey market machine anymore with the market share that they are grabbing and the support that they have established and is available for them. Time will tell. ....

Kioti has been in the US since the mid-late 80's although they've had some distribution problems, they are generally on par w/ the japs. I have bought and sold numerous used ones. I have 7 of my good customers who have been sucessful as dealers here in new england. The older models drive line is made mostly from
old Kubota tooling. and rumor has it they are supplying some replacement parts for older machines to Kubota. As of October 1, Kioti has severed ties w/LELY,
their most recent distributor and gone direct to their dealers making for a price advantage. ....
